Fashion with Rachel and Amelia

A month or so ago, I did something I've never done before. I was on my way home from work, when I saw this STUNNING girl on Queen Street. As I had just started to get thinking about the possibilities with fashion/editorial photography, I walked up to her and asked if she would be interesting in modeling. I gave her my card, and a couple of weeks later she replied.

That's when I found out that not only is she beautiful, but she's an actor as well. And then she continues to tell me about her roommate slash best friend, who's a stylist and very eager to help us out with the shoot... Boy, was this a jackpot!

As styling and fashion aren't my strong points, I was so excited when I heard all about these girls' ideas. In the end we were inspired by a music video by the amazing Beyoncé, where she's doing housework while looking as foxy as only she can.

Well, as only she and Rachel can.

The Benseman Family

A week ago I got an email from a girl named Hanna, asking if I could take some portraits of her family before she left for a couple of years in the UK. Said and done, the following weekend I came to her house to meet up with her and the rest of the family. And what a family. After five minutes, I almost felt part of it. They were so friendly and bubbly, and really affectionate with each other. This, I thought, is the definition of what a "family" should be like. I was there for a mere 40 minutes, but it put a smile on my face for the rest of the day.
