They say it's winter now in New Zealand. My first (and only) sign of winter must have been when I was booked to shoot a "Mid Winter Debate". The New Zealand Guild of Food Writers arranged this night at the wonderful Winter Garden Pavilion. It was an evening filled with great food, lots of great people, and to round it all off--a panel that debated whether the theme of the night was correct or not. A theme that claimed "foodies" to be "pretentious tossers".
Executive member Greig Buckley wrote in the description of the event that "there will not be a dull moment". I wonder if he knew exactly how right he was going to be.
